Sacramento, CA — As the leading Democratic candidate, Dr. Richard Pan, pediatrician, health advocate, and former State Senator, is in a strong position to advance to the General Election in California’s 6th Congressional District.

Once every vote is counted, we are confident I will advance to the General Election,” said Dr. Richard Pan. “People in the district are struggling as the cost of gas, food, and housing spike and health care is being taken away by the Trump Administration. This district deserves a Congressmember who has worked to improve lives in our neighborhoods and will represent the people to make sure the government works for us. I will be that Congressmember.”
The General Election will give voters a clear choice between Dr. Richard Pan, who obtained health care for millions of Californians and former Republican Kevin Kiley, who has a 98% voting record with Donald Trump, falling in line to cut health care and food for millions of Californians. Donald Trump’s “MAGA Champion”, Kevin Kiley has been a reliable vote for an extreme agenda in Congress that is driving up prices for California families.
“Kevin Kiley has voted with Trump and the Republican Congressional leadership as families in the 6th district have struggled with the rising cost of gas, groceries, child care, and health care from Trump’s chaotic tariffs and wars,” said Dr. Pan. “People of the 6th District deserve a representative that has a proven record of addressing their needs first, whether it’s ensuring children and families have health care, distributing food when they are hungry, or helping seniors and children with caregivers.”
