Dr. Richard Pan Added to DCCC’s Nationally Targeted ‘Red to Blue’ Program In CA-06
Pediatrician, Health Advocate, Small Business Owner and Father, Dr. Richard Pan Will Face MAGA Republican Congressman Kevin Kiley in November To Determine The Majority In Congress
SACRAMENTO CA – Today, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced their addition of Dr. Richard Pan to its highly competitive ‘Red to Blue’ program, following his primary victory in California’s 6th Congressional District. Dr. Pan will face off against MAGA Republican Kevin Kiley and is one of just 24 candidates included on the Red to Blue lineup, signaling this is a nationally targeted General Election that will determine the majority in Congress.

CA-06 is one of Democrats' strongest pickup opportunities in the country. Following the overwhelming passage of Proposition 50, the new district now gives Democrats an 8 point advantage. Dr. Pan was previously elected to represent over 70% of CA-06 in the State Legislature, giving him strong name recognition and an established coalition of support for the general election.
Dr. Pan is running to defeat 2020 election denier Kevin Kiley, who has built his career as a hardline MAGA extremist, earning Trump's personal endorsement as a “MAGA champion,” voting with Trump's agenda 98% of the time, backing extremist Republican leadership, and rubber-stamping policies that take away health care, freedoms, and economic security for California families.

Dr. Richard Pan is a pediatrician, educator, small business owner and Former State Senator dedicated to keeping California’s families healthy and safe.
