Sacramento, CA — Today, Dr. Richard Pan announced the endorsements of seven current and former California state legislators and legislative leaders in his campaign for Congress in California’s 6th Congressional District: Assembly Majority Leader Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, State Senator Tom Umberg, State Senator Josh Becker, State Senator Dr. Akilah Weber Pierson, former Assemblymember Paul Fong, former Assemblymember Warren Furutani, and State Senate Majority Leader Emeritus Bill Monning.
State Senator Dr. Akilah Weber Pierson is the Chair of the California Legislative Black Caucus, Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry is the Chair of the California Legislative Women’s Caucus and Former Assemblymembers Paul Fong and Warren Furutani both served as Chair of the California Asian and Pacific Islander Legislative Caucus.
The endorsements reflect the strong support Dr. Pan has earned from leaders across California who know his record of delivering results for families, lowering health care costs, standing up for science, and taking on tough fights to protect children and communities.

A pediatrician, former State Senator, and former Assemblymember, Dr. Pan represented much of the new 6th Congressional District in the State Legislature. He built a record of delivering results for families, including expanding access to health care, lowering prescription drug costs, protecting children’s health, and standing up to MAGA extremism and attacks on science.
Dr. Pan has earned broad support from federal, state, and local leaders, labor unions, health care professionals, educators, first responders, and community advocates who trust him to deliver for CA-06 in Congress.
