Asian Americans for Good Government, ASPIRE PAC, CAPA21, AAA Fund, and AAPI Victory Fund Endorse Dr. Richard Pan for Congress

National AANHPI Organizations Back Dr. Pan's Campaign to Defeat MAGA Congressman Kevin Kiley in CA-06

SACRAMENTO CA – Dr. Richard Pan, pediatrician and former State Senator, today announced the endorsements of Asian Americans for Good Government, ASPIRE PAC, CAPA21, the Asian American Action Fund (AAA Fund), and the AAPI Victory Fund in his campaign for Congress in California's 6th Congressional District, adding to his broad coalition of support from national organizations, labor unions, and elected officials.

The endorsements reflect growing national recognition of Dr. Pan's candidacy as one of the most closely watched Asian American campaigns in the country, and his record of expanding access to health care, lowering costs for families, and standing up to MAGA extremism and anti-Asian hate.

As the son of immigrants from Taiwan and former Chair of the California Asian Pacific Islander Legislative Caucus, Dr. Pan worked alongside AANHPI leaders across California to secure the historic API Equity Budget, supporting organizations combating anti-Asian hate and investing in Asian American history education so future generations see themselves reflected in our shared story.

ASPIRE PAC, the political arm of the Democratic Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Members of Congress, endorsed Dr. Pan. Founded in 2011 and chaired by Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland, ASPIRE PAC is committed to supporting candidates of AANHPI descent and incumbents who represent large communities of AANHPI voters.

CAPA21, which endorsed Dr. Pan during the primary election, reaffirmed its support for his campaign as he heads into the general election. The national political action committee works to elect Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander leaders and expand AANHPI representation at every level of government.

The Asian American Action Fund (AAA Fund), a Democratic political action committee founded in 1999 dedicated to increasing the voice of Asian Americans in the political process, also announced its endorsement.

The AAPI Victory Fund, the nation's first Super PAC focused on mobilizing Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander voters and empowering the 24 million-strong AANHPI community, rounded out the slate of endorsements.

Dr. Pan thanked the organizations for their support.

"I am deeply honored to receive these endorsements," said Dr. Richard Pan. "As the son of immigrants from Taiwan, my commitment to public service is rooted in expanding opportunity and ensuring every community has a voice. As a physician, educator, and former Chair of the California Asian Pacific Islander Legislative Caucus, I've dedicated my career to increasing civic participation and making sure every community has a seat at the table. I look forward to continuing that work in Congress by lowering costs for working families, protecting access to health care, defending our democracy, and ensuring the AANHPI community has more champions in Washington."

These endorsements add to Dr. Pan's coalition of support from members of Congress, labor unions, health care professionals, educators, firefighters, local elected officials, and community leaders across California's 6th Congressional District.
