United Nurses Associations of California / Union of Health Care Professionals Endorse Dr. Pan for Congress

Sacramento, CA — The United Nurses Association of California, Union of Health Care Professionals UNAC/UHCP has officially endorsed Dr. Richard Pan for Congress, citing his lifelong commitment to healthcare affordability and fighting for families.

“Dr. Pan has fought alongside Nurses and Healthcare Professionals to expand healthcare coverage and lower the cost of medical bills for Californians,” said Charmaine S. Morales, RN & President for UNAC/UHCP. “We need him in Congress to take on this Administration's efforts to slash health care for millions of Californians.”

UNAC/UHCP represents over 40,000 registered nurses, pharmacists, optometrists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals in leading facilities across California and Hawaii, fighting for fair wages, safe staffing levels, and the highest standards of patient care.

Dr. Richard Pan is a pediatrician, educator, small business owner and Former State Senator dedicated to keeping California’s families healthy and safe. In the State Senate, he championed landmark child and school safety laws and lowered the uninsured rate among children by two-thirds – taking on RFK Jr. twice after preventable disease outbreaks. A Harvard-trained pediatrician and UC Davis professor, he has cared for underserved children, trained future doctors and co-founded Healthy Kids Healthy Future, providing health coverage to more than 65,000 kids. 

Known for flipping his state legislative seat from Red to Blue, Dr. Pan is a proven fighter who brings people together to get results — expanding access to health care, strengthening schools, and improving public safety.
